Health Care System which includes a team of Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeons seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant. The Physician Assistant will work both in the OR and the clinic, handling a strong case load of sports-related injuries of the shoulder, knees, elbow, and some total joints cases. The Physician Assistant will run their own orthopedic clinic and see new and follow-up patients. Responsibilities include:Providing fracture careEvaluating acute and chronic orthopedic injuriesPost-op follow-upAdministering injections (cortisone, hyaluronic, etc.)Some rounds, scripts, consultation, and patient evaluation and educationReviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital settingMinimum Requirements:
Successful candidates must be NCCPA-Certified and have some orthopedic experience. New graduates will be considered if they have an orthopedic rotation, and it would be a plus if they have an ATC, exercise science, or kinesiology background. The Physician Assistant needs to be organized, hardworking, and able to work well with others in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Candidates should have a Florida license or have started the application process.The location is in a very desirable area within Ft. Lauderdale. Compensation is competitive and includes a bonus plan.
