The Domestic Violence Division of the Anchorage Trial Court is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10). Under direct supervision of the DV supervisor, the incumbent will assist customers and process filings.Employees working in this job classification will promote to salary range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court.What will you be doing?Accept filings for all domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault cases.Assist the public in filing petitions for protective orders.Provide direction to additional resources that are available.Answer phones, set up and work new case files, review filings for completeness, and distribute orders as necessary.Provide assistance to the general public, attorneys, state agencies, and court system staff with file and copy requests, and case information.Occasionally perform duties of an in-court clerk including operating recording equipment, writing log notes, distributing orders, and closing the courtroom.The Work HoursFull-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The initial work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. After training, this position will work Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and may be required to provide alternate shift coverage on occasion.The Work EnvironmentThe Domestic Violence Division is located on the first floor of the Boney Courthouse on 4th Avenue in beautiful downtown Anchorage. Each employee will receive a private parking pass for the courthouse parking garage. Failure to submit a letter may disqualify you from consideration for an interview.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience AND the ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute (net).Substitution:

Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis. Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience. Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.Documents to be Attached to the Application (REQUIRED):A professional letter of interest, completed per the instructions below.Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.Keyboarding certification dated within one year showing a keyboarding speed of at least 40 words per minute (net).Documents to be Submitted at the Time of Interview (REQUIRED):
