Job Description:Pacific Life is investing in bright, agile and diverse talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a superior customer experience. We are actively seeking a talented Sr. Application Developer to join our Distribution Partner Integration (DPI) team in the Consumer Markets Division, based in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote.

As a Sr. Application Developer, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by enabling Pacific Life Products to be sold and serviced on the industry’s Annuity Order Entry platforms. In addition, you will support Annuity Order Entry platform enhancements requested by internal business partners, external distributor partners and industry partners. You will fill an existing role on DPI’s Platform team, consisting of nine people. Your colleagues on the DPI Platform team will include analysts, developers, and QA and you will work very closely with DPI’s Data (DTCC) Team, as well as analysts and developers across technology, and business partners such as key account managers.

How you will make an impact:Proficiency in complex PPfA modeling of Pacific Life Annuity products for New Business and In-force features and transactions, in conjunction with DPfA modeling of Distribution AgreementAdminister and advance Order Entry platform development standards and best practicesImplement new products and e-Signature on Pacific Life’s order entry platformsDemonstrated ability as an application development/design lead and mentorRepresent Pacific Life on industry working groups for carriers, distributor partners, and platform vendorsThe experience you will bring:5+ years applied experience with VTXml, DTCC (I&RS) Service Integration, and ACORD L&A Data and EDI Standards; working knowledge of XML language5+ years development experience with EBIX AN4/AMP, iPipeline Affirm/IFT, and Hexure Firelight platforms, as well as associated tools5+ years Insurance Carrier experience with Annuity products and services3+ years Forms management experience with rules, data mapping, and e-signature taggingWhat will make you stand out:Experience representing carrier priorities and exerting influence on the direction of the industryExperience with deployment strategies in a complex, concurrent development environmentKnowledge of platform architecture and integration with enterprise architectureExcellent problem solving, root cause analysis, and critical thinking skillsProponent of Agile approaches and operates effectively in a working group environment

Base Pay Range:The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.$113,700.00 - $142,100.00 - $191,900.00
