Description
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate SP in an urgent care setting, providing care for patients with various cancer diagnoses and oncological emergencies. By using the SPs, the NP is able to change treatment regimens after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior, and physical condition, and determines if they are abnormal findings. The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, and promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, and makes appropriate referrals.This is a part-time (60%) appointment in the Bowyer Oncology Same Day Clinic.
Salary range: $84.82- $121.13/hourlyQualifications
CA RN and CA NP License - requiredMSN/DNP in Adult Acute Care NP - requiredNational Certification in NP Specialty - requiredBLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association - requiredNP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES - required5+ years of experience as an oncology certified nurse (experience in infusion center is a plus) - preferredNP experience - required2+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner - preferredAbility to utilize Excel, Word, and other software programs - requiredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel - requiredSkill in working independently and following through with minimum direction - requiredAbility to set priorities - requiredDemonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence - requiredDocument patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner - required
