Our team spans 12 countries across 4 continents, each person bringing a passion and grit to build technology that impacts people's lives.Responsibilities:Tenant Collections & Lease Enforcement:
Ensure maximum collections of all tenants owed rent, utilities, and repairs as agreed to in the tenant's lease/member agreement.Enforce all tenant behavior policies in regard to cleanliness, conduct, and care of the exterior of the house.Carry out evictions and/or fines of all tenant members who violate either payment.Carry out these hard tasks, with grace, empathy, and respect for our member base - while keeping a firm hand and collecting every cent possible on behalf of our owners.
City and Property Compliance:
Triage code violation notifications for analysis and resolution.Communicate with external counsel where necessary.Coordinate parties required to assist with the resolution.Conduct ongoing reviews of properties (internal and external) - finding non-compliant homes proactively.Work with neighbors when necessary.
Operations - Utilities & Maintenance:
Ensure that all tenants are billed utility overages in a timely fashion each month.Ensure utility overages are collected at an exceptionally high rate, and billing owners for any gaps in tenant payments as needed.Reviewing maintenance work orders on a weekly basis for accuracy and ensuring owners are getting the absolute best price from local vendors.
Requirements:5+ years as a property manager at a mid to large single-family home property management company (250-5000 homes).2+ years reviewing and approving maintenance service request billings.1+ year of elite performance (top 5%) in low-income housing rent collections.Adept at property management software and Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with local, state, and federal real estate laws, customs, and practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred:Experience in low-income housing property management.Experience with Buildium or Appfolio.Experience at an early-stage start-up (specifically prop-tech).About HomeRoom
