About The Job

As a Sr. Software Product Manager, you will work closely with engineers and designers to lead our strategy and guide software experiences from conception to launch. You will help craft our user-facing narrative and work with marketing and communications teams to tell it to the world. You'll ensure that users have the highest quality experience possible on their Bose devices.

passionate about delivering the best experiences to users in the home and on the go. With a focus on software experiences for our consumer audio portfolio, you know what it takes to deliver exceptional software experiences in a competitive market.

You will set the vision and strategy for platform-wide consumer experiences. You will work with Product Line Managers to break down their vision of the future into a continuous series of software releases, design to co-envision what the future of interaction and sound design looks like, engineering to identify what to build, and our world-class research team to invent the future. In close collaboration with these various teams, you will lead the implementation of the software roadmap, empowered to decide how to best meet our goals that maximize the value and quality of our software experiences.

Responsibilities

Leading and Developing the Team: Foster a collaborative and innovative environment by providing guidance, setting clear expectations, and managing performance and development of team members.Managing Wearables and Out Loud Audio Platform Vision/Strategy/Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive vision and strategy for our wearables and out loud audio platform, understanding market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.Build broad consensus across multiple product teams within the Product management team on overall product direction.Define solutions for complex user needs and be perceived by team members in both Design and Engineering as a full partner/leader in innovation.Use a high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for cross-functional development teams.Build a platform strategy that enables us to deliver killer experiences now and long into the future.Translate the software roadmap into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Clarify, document, and communicate use-case and customer requirements to the software engineering team.Drive final resolution on technical approaches where trade-offs impact the platform capabilities, priority, and delivery schedule.Reinforce customer value and whole-product thinking when driving cross-functional requirements decision-making.Break down complex concepts into a set of end-to-end user experiences optimizing for delivering early and often.Operate in an iterative development environment and continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing stakeholders' requirements.Use data, insights, and fast feedback to discover quality through experimentation.Partner with organizational stakeholders to inform product vision, Go to Market strategy, features, and prioritization.Primary Qualifications

About You

8+ years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch.Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in business administration (MBA), Computer Science, or a related field is desirable.Experience with cross-functional hardware and software development.Customer-focused with a systems-engineering mindset.Experience working in an agile software environment.An independent professional who can lead projects from start to finish on tight deadlines.Experience shipping ML-based features for mobile devices or other consumer electronics.Knowledge of programming.Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements and convert them into a winning product outcome.Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.Excellent user experience intuition, with demonstrated success in inventing innovative and user-friendly products, especially in the consumer software domain.
