About The Job

As a Software Product Manager, you will work closely with engineers and designers to lead our strategy and guide software experiences from conception to launch. You will help craft our user-facing narrative and work with marketing and communications teams to tell it to the world. You'll ensure that users have the highest quality experience possible on their Bose devices. Bose is searching for a customer-centric

Software Product Manager

for the Bose Music App. In this role, you'll be the maestro behind software experiences from idea generation to market release. Your focus will be defining, designing, and delivering groundbreaking software experiences for our vast range of consumer audio devices.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a cohesive strategy for our wearables and out-loud audio platform, rooted in market trends, consumer needs, and the competitive landscape.

Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing, innovative environment, setting clear expectations and providing necessary resources and support.

Collaboration: Engage deeply with Product Line Managers, Design, Engineering, and Research teams to implement the software roadmap effectively.

User-Centric Design: Translate complex concepts into user-friendly experiences, creating features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that resonate with our audience.

Continuous Improvement: Operate within an iterative development cycle, constantly refining priorities, milestones, and deliverables based on feedback and data.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to align the product vision, Go-to-Market strategy, and feature prioritization. Build broad consensus across multiple product teams within the Product management team on overall product direction and influencing other teams' projects accordingly. Define solutions for complex user needs and be perceived by team members in both Design and Engineering as not just a facilitator but a full partner/leader in innovation. Use a high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for cross-functional development teams.

Primary Qualifications

About You

8+ years in product management or a related technical role.

5 years of experience in developing and releasing technical products.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Proven experience in driving product development life cycle elements.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, Master's in Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience in cross-functional software and hardware development.

Agile software development experience.

Experience with ML-based features for mobile or consumer electronics.

Strong programming knowledge.

Demonstrable ability to capture user requirements and transform them into successful products.

Acute strategic thinking paired with excellent execution methods.

Solid UX intuition and a track record of innovative, user-centric products.
