Senior Conflicts Attorney
position. This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.
Responsibilities:Directs and conducts specific processes in the Conflicts department, including timely and thorough review, identification and resolution of conflicts of interest, preparation of conflicts waivers, recommendations regarding ethical wall implementation, and other ethics-related responsibilities.Proactive and clear communication with partners, staff, and firm leadership regarding conflicts requests and complex conflicts questions.Maintains thorough and accurate records of conflicts resolutions.Identifies and resolves erroneous, outdated, or incomplete conflicts information in existing records.Assures compliance with applicable Rules of Professional Conduct and assists with managing ethical risk mitigation issues.Oversees all performance management and personnel leadership aspects of Conflicts Attorneys, including onboarding, training, development, evaluations, and administrative responsibilities.Maintains a thorough working knowledge of technologies that support the daily operations of the Conflicts department, including Intapp Open.Serves as a resource for Conflicts Attorneys and support staff on legal questions involving how to run and clear conflicts of interest.Discusses conflict of interest issues with Attorneys, Conflicts Analysts, and other leadership to identify and resolve potential conflicts.Reviews conflict of interest requests and provides a concise evaluation of potential conflict issues.Prepares routine conflicts waivers and assists firm partners with revising waivers.Confirms need for ethical walls to screen individuals from particular clients and matters.Assists Client Development team and partners in reviewing and responding to Requests for Proposals.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the American Bar Association (ABA) Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
Position Requirements:Juris Doctorate and active law license in the U.S.Five or more years of conflicts-related experience.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required; experience with online reference materials preferred.Experience with Intapp Open required.Ability to identify and analyze complex conflict of interest issues.Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, particularly with summarizing complex issues.Ability and availability to travel to other Firm locations as needed.

Compensation And Benefits:Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
State of California: $144,000 - $275,000State of Colorado: $132,000 - $236,000Jersey City, NJ: $156,000 - $283,000State of Massachusetts: $144,000 - $275,000State of New York: $134,000 - $289,000State of Washington: $139,000 - $265,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus. Full-time employees receive benefits including: medical and dental coverage; life insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; pre-tax flexible spending account; an employee assistance program; Paid Time Off; paid holidays; and participation in a retirement plan program after meeting eligibility requirements.
