Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. In this role you will support the company’s accounting with a primary focus on project accounting to support the Company’s ASC 606 calculations. The position requires strong accounting and analytical abilities with Excel and an understanding of US GAAP. Collaboration, communication and organizational skills are needed to convey issues and proposed resolutions in a concise manner embracing ownership and accountability.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close process, including booking journal entries.Monthly revenue recognition process, review of project accounting to support our ASC 606 calculations.Review / reconcile account balances.Reconcile intercompany account activity, agreeing balances with the foreign subsidiaries.Ensure proper accounting for realized and unrealized exchange rates between units.Assist with regulatory and financial reporting.Assist with the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures.Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.Coordinate and assist with the external audit.Supports and assists with the internal audit function and ongoing SOX compliance requirements.

Senior Accountant Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required.CPA desired.Three to six (3 – 6) years experience in top-tier public accounting firms and/or public company environment (with at least 2 years experience with a public company).Strong and extensive knowledge of US GAAP.Audit background, ideally someone with Big 4 or similar experience.Experience in Netsuite.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks.Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage several tasks required.Leadership experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines.Strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels within an organization. Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines and respond quickly to management requests.Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.Must command strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
