Manulife Investment Management Real Assets application team is responsible for the delivery of systems that support end-to-end business processes, from investment management to on the ground operations of timberland, farmland, and commercial real-estate. This opportunity is available in Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and Kitchener/Waterloo.As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, You Will

Champion the transformation of engineering staff within your team and other areas within Manulife by sharing your technical expertise.Design & build new functionality to deliver on key product objectives with strong and extendable architectural design.Perform code peer reviews.Ensure the security of our applications and platforms by maintaining compliance with evolving corporate standards.Be an active participant in our various internal and external transformation events such as hackathons.Collaborate with leaders across the organization, as well as other software engineers, architects, and operations engineers to uncover and showcase opportunities to deliver new business value through software.You will bring and continuously build upon the following skills:

8 years + of experience.Embracing an ambitious spirit and comfort working within a constantly evolving environment; you love the challenge of working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture.Strong verbal and written English communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization.Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next.Coaching and developing engineers and a passion for growing staff within the organization.Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles in a SCRUM environment, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features.You Will Be Working With

JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Python, PowerShell.JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue).RESTful APIs using .Net Core and C#.Relational Database and ETL (SQL Server, MySQL etc.).Big data (i.e., cloud computing, parallel processing).CI/CD.Comfortable using Open Source technologies.Familiarity with the Esri ArcGIS Platform and Azure Kubernetes is a plus.About Manulife And John Hancock

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.Primary Location

Boston, MassachusettsSalary range is expected to be between $99,470.00 USD - $184,730.00 USD. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
