As an Associate Director, Data Science in Translational Proteomics, you will be part of the Translational Medicine and Cancer Biomarker Development team, responsible for the biomarker strategy and implementation. This includes all exploratory analyses of global clinical trial samples and prospective testing for trial recruitment where required.AccountabilitiesIn this role, you will provide computational support to ensure high-quality clinical proteomics input for cancer biomarker development efforts. You will build ADC-target landscape with internal and external proteomics data to facilitate the company's strategic decisions as well as novel target identification. You will also be responsible for designing database structures and routine maintenance. In collaboration with project teams, you will drive the development of novel clinical utilities of MS-proteomics by retrospective analysis of clinical proteomics data.Essential Skills/ExperiencePh.D. in bioinformatics, computational science, molecular biology or a related field with +5 years post-doctoral experience in bioinformatics.Extensive expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and familiarity with Data-Independent Acquisition (DIA) and Parallel Reaction Monitoring (PRM) data.Strong programming skills in key languages including R and Python with proven statistical capabilities to analyze large and complex data sets.Track record of applying bioinformatic analysis to drive projects in drug discovery or development.Experience in cancer biomarker studies for clinical development.Experience in working with clinical trial data.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills.Desirable Skills/ExperienceExperience with software development for proteomics data analysis.Experience working in regulated environments (GCP/GLP).At AstraZeneca, we are united in our vision to eliminate cancer as a cause of death.
