Come build the first distributed utility with us, propelling the biggest energy transformation of our lifetime!The RoleThe Bill of Materials & Change Specialist is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining accurate and consistent multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM), configuration management, and Routings for all products (New & Existing) while having a thorough understanding of cost impact resulting from changes to support material requirements, costs, order management, and manufacturing. This position must maintain accurate and timely records to meet production requirements.What you'll do:Create and maintain the processes for New Part Creation, Bill of Materials Management, and regular updates based upon variances to ensure accuracy.Be responsible for and lead the audit of engineering BOM vs. manufacturing BOM vs. actual build, noting significant errors that may result in build, shortages or cost discrepancies and coordinates and communicates through to its resolution.Maintain BOMs to capture engineering changes, procurement or supplier changes, general updates, BOM maturity etc. and distributes to the team.Understand cost impact of changing BOMs as well as impact on production orders, inventory values, and variances.Continuously conduct BOM audits to ensure accuracy (standard vs. actual costs).Support and maintain change control to analyze all change requests to assess each level of the BOM and documents its impact in accordance with the requested change.Track BOM issues, communicates the issues with all groups, and facilitates discussions related to BOM accuracy to achieve resolution.Develop and maintain BOM related knowledge and capability in line with best practices, systems & processes.Understand procurement, quality systems and manufacturing processes.Support BOM master data upstream by ensuring the data is available, accessible, and accurate in all systems as required.Support weekly change control coordination (CC), liaising with teams to implement changes into the BOMs once approved.Work closely with key business stakeholders including engineering, to ensure that BOM lists are constantly maintained and evolve in line with recent modifications or changes.Skills to be successful:Experience in the clean energy or manufacturing industry.Proven track record in creating and managing complex BOMs in a manufacturing environment.Familiar with SolidWorks PDM.PLM and ERP system experience preferred.Highly proficient with desktop software specifically Excel.Knowledge in a manufacturing environment.Expertise in product development data management.Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.Strong collaboration and influencing skills.Strong analytical skills.At Moxion you get:Health, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, competitive equity & compensation packages, free coffee and snacks, flexible work from home policy, access to Mountain Hardware, Columbia, Sorel, & Prana employee stores and discounts, credit to company swag store, investment in professional development courses, and parental leave program.We Value:People are at the core of Moxion’s values.
