The Role

As an early member owning the Production Planning function within our Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in launching and streamlining this critical function that connects Moxion’s manufacturing operations to customers by translating demand into production plans, conducting analyses to support production capacity changes, developing and deploying tactical plans to protect production output by identifying and tracking issues, deviations, and interruptions.

What you'll do:

Create production schedules that reconcile production capacity with demand for fabricated components, following the factory’s master schedule.

Proactively identify risks to production output and resolve the same in collaboration with cross functional teams including manufacturing operations and/or engineering, warehouse, and material planning to minimize impact on overall performance.

In coordination with the Material Planning team, generate, publish and maintain production performance metrics and forecasts showing risk to the factory's build plan.

Communicate plans, plan revisions, and actual vs. plan to all Supply Chain, Manufacturing, support, and business stakeholders.

Work with manufacturing and supporting functions to establish and improve processes (e.g. production batch sizes, material transfer processes and controls).

Respond to unanticipated changes—e.g. production shortfall vs. schedule or material shortages: Provide information, impact assessment, and options to leadership and downstream customers, revise production schedules or product mix as needed.

Assist in implementing systematic solutions to control inventory flow, minimize shortages.

Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to plan for material and product end of life and minimize obsolescence.

Use data from ERP and data visualization tools such as Tableau to generate the status reports and executive level summary of factory status & performance.

Skills to be successful:

Demonstrated high volume production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with manufacturing and planning systems and methodologies.

MS Excel experience (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with key stakeholders.

Flexibility and adaptability in changing priorities and assignments while managing rapidly changing information.

Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP, creating/maintaining/releasing Work Orders.

Nice to have's:

Knowledge or expertise energy, fleet management, or EV industry.

Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) / Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).

Comp Range: $95k - $115k
