Our Regulatory Accounting Department is seeking an experienced professional who is committed to obtaining a deep knowledge of the regulatory accounting rules. This is a very important role in our accounting and finance department that will report to the Regulatory Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Compile regulatory filings (FOCUS reports, including Customer Reserve and Net Capital computations, etc.) with accuracy and attention to detailPrepare daily and monthly reports and schedules to support regulatory and accounting processesWork effectively with internal and external financial and regulatory auditorsInteract and work with various departments within the firm to reconcile differences and calculate pieces critical to the financial statements and regulatory reportsPrepares FOCUS Sub-Schedules-Firm Inv Haircut/Mkt Blockage/Ops Chg/Poss CtrlPerform general accounting duties for the broker dealer including reconciliations, journal entries, allocations, etc.Perform other duties and tasks as required and assignedRequired Experience

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business/Econ with emphasis in accounting/finance3+ years of corporate or public accounting (preferably Big 4) experience highly preferredKnowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAPExperience and understanding of 15c3-1 and 15c3-3Regulatory reporting experience from broker dealer preferredHighly meticulous, detail-oriented, and accurateAbility to analyze processes and improve efficiency of proceduresStrong analytical and accounting skills and knowledgeHighly proficient in MS Excel and Word; agile at learning new software applicationsBenefits

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000-$80,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the individual and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
