In other words, our superpower is transforming social capital into brand equity.The Accountant role supports the VP of Finance in the Finance Department in collaboration with Operations.Key Responsibilities:

Assist the VP of Finance as we stand up the Finance Department.Manage and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Prepare journal entries, participate in month, quarter, and year-end closing processes along with audit field work and year-end audit.Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.Manage year-end tax documents.Participate in and provide support on accounting projects and process improvement initiatives.Provide insight on design, implementation, and analysis for special projects and collaborate with colleagues on operational efforts.Manage credit cards and coding along with expense management tool coding.Assist in new financial system/GL implementation, design, data migration, testing, roll-out, and training.Assist with asset management and the operational side of the business.Assist with client financial reporting.Create, roll-out, and ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and internal controls.Ensure accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with GAAP.Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies, improve financial controls, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, resolve complex accounting issues, and implement best practices.Provide ad-hoc analysis to management.Handle month-end tasks, reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, financial statements, and audits.Skills, Knowledge + Expertise

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with a small to mid-sized company.CPA preferred.Experience working in a project-based professional services company.High proficiency in Microsoft Office.High proficiency in Quickbooks Online.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.Benefits
