We’re a small but highly efficient People team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist to join us. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding, systems, benefits, employee relations, performance management & training, policy development, and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations.This role requires that you be present in our San Mateo HQ at least 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).What You'll Do:
Perform routine tasks required to run HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity and morale, and occupational health and safety.Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Run our HRIS (Rippling), maintaining accurate employee records, generating HR reports, and troubleshooting questions as needed.Run performance review cycles and employee recognition programs.Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory trainings.Review policies and make recommendations to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.Conduct values interviews in the hiring process.Run employee onboarding and offboarding programs.Proactively stay on top of trends, best practices, new tech, and regulatory changes in HR.Embrace a startup mentality and perform other duties as needed.What You'll Bring:
3 years proven experience working as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications.The California base salary for this full-time position is between $80,000 to $100,000.
