Product Manager II

to work with an experienced, and supportive team that will help you deliver your greatest work.

As part of the Core OS storage team in Microsoft, you will be a key contributor delivering data storage solutions that support our core customer pillars; reliability, cost reduction, performance, trust and manageability. Your primary focus will be driving product planning and cross-team alignment - working closely with engineering teams to define and prioritize features and delivering innovative solutions. This role requires the ability to identify key business scenarios, develop technical acumen, articulate business justifications for key investments, and turn ambiguity into clarity.

Ideally, you will be independent, customer-obsessed and will blend a proven technical background, project management skills, systems thinking, and a growth mindset. Additionally, if you have prior experience in, and a firm understanding of the low-level workings of Windows or Linux File Systems that would be an advantage.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

Other Qualifications:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background CheckThis position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience4+ years experience working as a Program, Product or Technical Program manager with a demonstrated technical background in modern software engineering principlesDemonstrated ability to drive large-scale, multiyear initiativesProven project/program management skills, communication, and cross-group collaboration skills, with an ability to effectively lead and motivate a teamGreat problem-solving skills, with a bias for customer obsession, data-driven quality, and engineering excellenceSelf-motivated, self-directed, and able to adapt to requirement changes driven by market demandsThe ability to see the bigger picture and focus on end-to-end scenariosTechnical judgment, demonstrating maturity and intellectual curiosity, helping the team pursue great ideasDemonstrated experience launching features across partner/customer ecosystems

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
