Immigration Attorney

Our Law Firm works in complex immigration family-based and removal defense immigration cases. Our current emphasis is on cases dealing with victims of crimes (U, VAWA, T visas), asylum seekers, and unaccompanied minors.As Associate Attorney, you will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney, manage your caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with our wonderful Immigration team of attorneys and legal assistants.Primary Duties:Conduct legal review and management of immigration cases.Represent non-detained individuals in removal proceedings in the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Represent clients in front of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.Manage workload of cases.Prepare diverse immigration applications, cover letters, and briefs, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.Review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments.Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.Participate in different immigration training.Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.Maintain an active caseload to meet project deliverables.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Juris Doctor graduate with excellent credentials.An active member of the State Bar of California.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Experience assisting immigrant, limited English speaking, and/or low-income clients.Experience appearing in immigration court preferred.Experience or familiarity with SIJS preferred.Excellent legal writing, speaking, and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with clients.Must speak Spanish fluently.Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Availability and willingness to regularly travel within the county and state.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Access to reliable means of transportation required.Compensation:
