A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic Immigration Team. The ideal candidate will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney and be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with a team of attorneys and legal assistants. This role involves providing legal representation in immigration matters, preparing applications, and engaging with various stakeholders.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring effective case management and timely progress.Explain complex immigration concepts to clients and develop strategic legal solutions tailored to individual cases.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.Conduct intake meetings with detained individuals at detention centers to gather case information and assess legal options.Prepare and file a range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.Review and adjust immigration applications and packets to ensure accuracy and compliance with current laws and regulations.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law and policy.Provide strategic consultations to potential clients, determining the best legal strategies for their cases.Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimonies.Conduct legal analysis to identify potential benefits and prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.Utilize case management software to track and manage case progress efficiently.Requirements:1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively and advance legal cases.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR proceedings, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California.Skills:In-depth knowledge of immigration law and procedures, including EOIR and USCIS processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Proven track record of managing and progressing legal cases.Ability to work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals.Proficiency with case management software is an asset.Benefits Offered:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Competitive compensation package, including a 401(k) plan.Additional perks such as catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and more.Company infoDescriptionThe Associate VP, Enterprise Architecture translates business needs into technical systems solutions and architectural roadmaps.
