Job Overview:

A law firm in Sacramento, CA, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Immigration Attorney. This position is ideal for an attorney with a deep understanding of immigration law who can manage complex cases, develop strategic solutions, and provide exceptional legal representation. The role involves working directly with clients, law enforcement, and community organizations to navigate and address various immigration issues.Duties and Responsibilities:Explain complex immigration concepts and develop strategic solutions for clients.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a diverse caseload, including family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian cases, and other USCIS applications.Conduct intakes and visits with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.Prepare and review immigration applications and legal briefs, making necessary adjustments as required.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to determine the best legal strategies.Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.Provide comprehensive legal analysis to identify potential benefits or issues in cases.Utilize case management software to streamline case tracking and management.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law.Proven ability to manage and move legal cases forward effectively.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.Experience with case management software is preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in the state of California.Skills:In-depth knowledge of immigration law and procedures.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
