Position DescriptionCGI leads a team to support and modernize multiple cloud-based systems supporting multi-agency case management and records systems using agile DevSecOps teams. We have built, maintained, and enhanced multiple solutions over the years for our client, deploying to AWS. The client repeatedly calls upon our experienced teams to address the latest challenges using new technology.To support our growth, we need a User Experience (UX) Designer who can design new user interfaces and evolve existing designs based upon user research being conducted. They will be working closely with the client and front-end developer team members to ensure designs are effective, accessible, and feasible to implement.This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.Your future duties and responsibilities:Collaborate with the UX Lead and fellow team members to visualize complex concepts and interactions into annotated wireframes or interactive prototypes that solve the stated business or user problem area.Create a wide variety of UX Deliverables that visualize a common understanding of user needs, business needs, and technical feasibility to define and document the future of the product.Facilitate meetings with Business Analysts and Tech Leads to obtain feedback on product direction to apply and align on a solution for the product.Collaborate with fellow UX Designers to ensure consistency of experiences across applications on the portfolio.Participate in UX Design community within the portfolio and USCIS.Work with teams to effectively design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions.Participate in design meetings with other projects and the client's technical specialists.Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other Agile ceremonies.Required qualifications to be successful in this role:Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship.3+ years designing user interfaces, primarily for internal facing web applications.1+ years of experience with Human-Centered Design.Experience in User Research, including Discovery, Generative, and Evaluative.Experience with Adobe XD, Figma, Mural, and Axure.Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:Experience with front-end libraries, Angular, or React.Experience designing 508 compliant user interfaces.Experience using design systems, US Web Design System (USWDS).CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
