User Experience Designer (HCD Journeyman) - U.S. Citizenship Required
Position DescriptionCGI is looking for a User Experience Designer to help our client modernize their existing automation infrastructure and to build new automation tooling using their Citizen Developer toolset. We need a designer who has experience with Human Centered Design and is able to assist our client in automating their processes in a manner that fits into their processes. Must be able to learn new technologies rapidly in order to best understand how to leverage them for the client.This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.Your future duties and responsibilities
Create a wide variety of UX Deliverables that visualize a common understanding of user needs, business needs and technical feasibility to define and document the future of the productFacilitate meetings with Business Analysts and the Tech Lead to obtain feedback on product direction to apply and align on a solution for the productWork across several teams to deliver comprehensive and cross functional designsParticipate in UX Design community within the portfolio and USCISWork with teams to effectively design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutionsParticipate in design meetings with other projects and the client's technical specialistsParticipate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and other Agile ceremoniesRequired qualifications to be successful in this role
Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship3+ years designing user interfaces, primarily for internal facing web applications2+ years of experience with Human-Centered DesignExperience designing interfaces to be 508 compliantExperience in User Research, including Discovery, Generative, and EvaluativeExperience with Adobe XD or FigmaExperience with HTML and CSSDesired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
