Position DescriptionCGI is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help our client modernize their existing automation infrastructure and to build new automation tooling using their Citizen Developer toolset. We need an engineer who has worked with one or more automation tools and is able to assist our client in automating the deployment of the tools. Must be able to learn new technologies rapidly in order to best understand how to leverage them for the client.This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.Your future duties and responsibilities
Build CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications and supporting componentsWork to build standard CI/CD approaches across the supported teams and application portfolioOptimize system availability to minimize costs to USCIS while supporting all required teamsManage security requirements, including patching, to maintain existing security authorizationAnalyze system logs to perform root-cause analysis of performance or infrastructure issuesParticipate in design meetings with other projects and the client's technical specialistsProvide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolutionWork with other agile teams to effectively design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutionsWork with other teams to coordinate integration testing across multiple (more than 3) teamsParticipate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremoniesRequired qualifications to be successful in this role
Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship3+ years of development experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects using DevSecOps, DevOps and AWSExpert skills in Jenkins and GitHubExperience with TerraformExperience delivering as part of Agile Development teams and strong familiarity with Scrum and/or Kanban delivery modelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsDesired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
