Data Systems Analyst

consults with school administrators and staff in the task of using the district's data, database systems, and network software programs. The Data Systems Analyst oversees and implements the integration of various software systems and related data with the primary student information database, and the submission of all DESE reports.DUTIES:Duties include, but are not limited to:Support the Information Systems Manager in the management of student information databases and fields, as required by state and federal guidelines, annually update student database, oversee the completion of state and federal electronic forms, transfer student information files as required by DESE mandates, and submission of DESE reports;Account creation and maintenance for all district systems and software to include network credentials, Google Apps for Education, student information systems, eSPED, MUNIS, and other web-based solutions;Support the Information Systems Manager in the integration of software packages and data with the primary student information database;Provide database support for the office/clerical staff throughout the district;Update district websites and utilize communication tools to help inform staff, students, and community members of school events and activities;Support the Information Systems Manager with requests and preparation of data for analytics and reporting;Provide Tier 1 support for staff, students, and parents in resetting accounts and troubleshooting access to core software suites;Administer and support online assessments for administrators and test coordinators.Training responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Train and coordinate the efforts of data entry personnel throughout the district;Perform parent and staff development training on database and software applications;Train and provide support to teachers in student information system procedures and practices;Support faculty and staff in generating student reports.Other duties, as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:To be considered qualified for the position of

, candidates must have/be:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, in Computer Science, or a related field is preferred;Minimum of at least three years successful experience in database software administration, with practical experience working with computer networks;Working knowledge of MAC OS X 10.6+, PC operating systems (Windows 7 & 10), website management, and student information systems;Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact daily with users at varying technical competency levels;Demonstrated success operating and troubleshooting web-based software applications;Demonstrated skill in training adult learners, and the ability to work collaboratively with school personnel;Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Director of Technology may find appropriate.Online is our preferred method of application; however, if you wish to apply by mail, please download and print the appropriate application form on our website:
