GridIron IT is seeking multiple Data Scientist local to Washington, DC.Active TS (SCI Eligible) Clearance Required!!As a Data Scientist, you will be involved in full spectrum analytic technical support to mission operations and the intelligence lifecycle: requirements collection and refinement, translating user requirements into technical requirements, environment configuration, exploratory data analysis, model development, selection, and evaluation, identifying insights from analytic products and then communicating those results to a nontechnical audience. To that end, you will work with cross-functional teams to identify relevant and permissible data sources, access available infrastructure, and to develop analytic products tailored to mission user requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical in your ability to collaborate with your technical colleagues and building rapport with the customer. Your analytic products should clearly and succinctly distill trends, illuminate latent patterns, and spotlight insights in an easy-to-consume manner for customers to take action on.Qualifications
TS-SCI clearanceBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience4+ years of experience in computer science, data science, data analyticsExperience executing data science methods using python libraries for Data Cleaning/Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Statistical Analysis, Data VisualizationStrong proficiency in programming languages such as PythonAgile development experience along with related technologies (e.g., Jira)Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of version control, testing, and debugging.Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to various stakeholders and audiencesMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldResponsibilities
Participate in architectural design discussionsHelp make decisions on changes cloud infrastructure as needed to accommodate changing user requirementsConsider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and contribute to budget discussionsSkills
