Develop and execute product development strategies that align with the company's purpose and revenue goals.Lead, manage and mentor a team of product developers for apparel and headwear.Oversee the development cycle from initial concept through buy-ready approval for bulk production.Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.Build innovative team and processes to deliver products that satisfy the needs of customers while in alignment with our company’s financial goals.Champion the creation of high-quality products and excellence in both strategy and process to achieve the highest standards of apparel.Partner with VP of Product Development, Sr. Director of Sourcing, Director of R&D, finance and planning leaders to ensure financial target setting is achievable and fiscally appropriate, driving profitability.Monitor progress toward plans and adjust as needed; ensure critical information is communicated out to cross functional partners and leadership when plans change.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement promoting professional growth and development of the team.Work in close partnership with VP of Product Development, Global Head of Women’s Product, Brand Merchandisers and Designers as well as Compliance, Production, and any other cross-functional key stakeholders.Collaborate with Sourcing and Supply Chain leadership to drive alignment and ensure effective commercialization of deliverables.Manage short, mid and long-term projects while providing regular updates to key stakeholders.Ensure your team can execute effectively by clearly defining and aligning on the right scope, briefs, KPI’s and deliverables, while mobilizing the right resources to achieve success.Think and act across functional borders.Create appropriate sense of urgency to ensure both short and long term results.Excellent collaboration skills, including a proven ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.Superior ability to inspire and build a mindset and culture of innovation within your team and beyond.Plan and manage seasonal development trips overseas to review development and negotiate costs with key suppliers.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

5+ years leading Product Development and strategic initiatives driving functions including product development and project management.10+ years in apparel product development, women’s preferred.Strong project management skills, data analysis, and attention to detail.Experience managing multiple development projects at the same time utilizing project and timeline software tools.Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving.Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with a values driven commitment to do what is right.Strong product acumen and aesthetic with working knowledge of apparel product development processes, including design, development, sourcing and manufacturing.Extensive attention to detail and follow through related to calendar, vendor relations, and inner dept relations.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all development related activities.Detailed knowledge of garment construction and textiles, women’s apparel & swim specifically a plus.Word, Excel: required knowledge at intermediate level.Illustrator 10, CS, CS2: preferred knowledge at intermediate level.PLM, Full Circle: experience preferred but not required.A bachelor’s degree is preferable but not required.This position requires some hours at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely.LIBERATED BRANDS PERKS:

The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $130k-$160k. This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.
