77790BRJob Summary:Manages the delivery of ambulatory patient care, which typically includes nursing, and may include laboratory, radiology, dental, etc. Facilitates the flow of patient care activities; may also participate in practice or center management operations.Key responsibilities include:Oversight of operational clinic work including RN telephone triage, RN procedures, Apex In Basket management.Management of clinic operational flow. Also manages the patient care delivery system to assure quality care, patient safety, standard work and compliance with internal policy, external regulations, and accepted practices across the continuum of care.Represents assigned clinics or centers on task forces or committees, participating to develop new programs, review technology improvements, and design quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.Develops staff in collaborative decision making and shared governance to ensure a shared voice in clinical care practice, exchange of ideas, enhanced communication, and improved clinical and patient care outcomes.Manages patient care in a cost-effective manner, consistent with the financial goals of the organization.Responsible for employee recruitment, performance evaluation, progressive discipline, and staff development.Keeps abreast of and implements new or changing patient care standards of practice, scope of practice, competency development, and assessment.Collaborates on marketing, facilities, and fiscal planning.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.At least five (5) years RN experience with caring for surgical patients.At least two (2) years' managerial experience in an acute care or outpatient setting.Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California and/or relevant clinical specialty licensure.Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.Strong clinic/center patient care management skills.Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaborative decision making.Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills.Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree.Three to five years of related management experience.Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows.License/Certification:Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California and/or relevant clinical specialty licensure.Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.About UCSF:At UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology, and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve.Pride Values:UCSF is a diverse community made of people with many skills and talents.
