The Watts Water Quality (WWQ) Technical Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing aggressive growth strategies and technical support to both our Commercial as well as our Residential/Retail market segments. You will manage and direct all daily and long-range activities in the US, including sales technical support, customer relationships, new business development, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies, contract development and management, and maintaining the opportunity funnel. You will partner with the Watts Water Quality Sales Manager and report to the General Manager, WWQ.

You Will

Provide technical support and sales support for all daily and long-range activities in the United States, including sales training, customer relations, proposal development and quotations, pricing strategies, and managing selling channels.Have in-depth technical knowledge of Water Treatment, including the impact on health, asset protection, and physical characteristics such as odor, color, and turbidity.Show leadership in the training and development of a sales team and independent representatives to service and demonstrate our commitment to meet the needs of the customer.Participate in the creation of the annual orders and sales plan, quarterly forecasts, and execute plans to meet the WWQ AOP (Annual Operating Plan) targets through strategic account planning.Drive and implement business initiatives to trigger growth.Help customers select the equipment they require based on current product offerings.Provide input to marketing, product management, and product development to create leading-edge products and services positioned to leverage WWQ Commercial and Residential/Retail strengths.Understand the vertical markets, its customer needs, and the competitor landscape.Achieve industry-leading customer satisfaction via best-in-class training, coaching, and development.Build long-term relationships with customers and selling channel partners and strengthen WWQ’s image with industry luminaries.Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace.Share best practices and help formulate strategies for identifying, developing, and managing new business channels by leveraging synergies across Watts’s platforms.Coordinate with sales forces of other Watts platforms and regions to implement account strategies and close orders.Be the voice of the customer and promote a customer-centric mindset.Drive pricing initiatives by collaborating with product management and ensuring they have necessary market intelligence.Break down internal barriers and be a catalyst for platform success.Have proficiency in personal computer skills including spreadsheets, word documents, and mainframe operating systems.Have the ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with management, internal, and external customers.Anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.Work and foster a harmonious working relationship with co-workers.Assist customers in developing forecasts and resolving issues.You Have

Administration, Engineering, or related Bachelor’s degree.MBA is preferred.10+ years’ experience in technical sales environments.Extensive experience in a similarly-sized sales organization within a product company.Proven ability to develop, train, and execute a sales strategy, targeting large, multi-year accounts, as well as short cycle sales to small and medium-sized organizations.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex Water Treatment concepts/needs in a compelling and concise manner.Proven ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts.A strong blend of analytical, decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills.Inclination for embracing change and drive motivation from it.The flexibility to travel 40-60% of the time.Other duties as assigned.What’s In It For You
