Position Summary:A Senior Manager in Me@Walmart will lead the work of a group of Engineers in software development and design, identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines; reviewing and approving proposed solutions, implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.About Team: Me@Walmart platformThe Me@Walmart platform team owns the global mobile platform to enable a diverse portfolio of systems used by Walmart stores associates for business-critical functions such as communications, team management, efficient Store Logistics, Item Information, and Inventory Management/Audits to provide constantly high levels of on-shelf availability, processing of in-transit inbound merchandise, efficient freight handling and storage, processing for outbound freight (returns, disposal, donations), modular planning of the sales floor and in-store location tracking of merchandise, price changes/markdowns as well as tools and applications to effectively and efficiently manage critical tasks and communications within individual stores across the chain.What You'll Do:You will lead decision making around strategic technology architecture, technology roadmaps, business product roadmaps, and overall area strategy.Deliver support to the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility); researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of your domain.Provide leadership, mentorship, and career growth to your team of software engineers along with supporting and leading overall engineering maturity for the team and the area.Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality); performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams when needed; developing solutions; driving the development of an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; and completing online documentation.Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.What You'll Bring:An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream - Computer Science preferred.12 - 15 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems.Problem-solving ability.Servant leadership attitude, every day.Well-rounded experience in Mobile app design and architecture.Understanding of React and Mobile development overall from a system, business, and enterprise perspective.You understand Java and/or other enterprise stack programming languages and are well versed with building resilient systems at scale.Experience in architecting enterprise systems.Solid knowledge/experience with asynchronous programming.A great eye for detail and can articulate the specifics of quality design while enforcing engineering principles.You're organized, disciplined, and can manage large projects simultaneously.A high standard for code quality and can hold contributors accountable.Strategic thinking and ability to craft vision and technology strategy.Stellar collaboration/communication skills (track record of working with multiple stakeholders, dealing with complex business problems, handling conflicts, communicating timelines, etc.).Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Minimum Qualifications:Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
