Attorney Recruitment Manager

As the Attorney Recruitment Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing recruiting strategies to attract top legal talent. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, manage the recruiting team, and oversee various aspects of the recruitment process. The successful candidate will have a strong background in law firm recruiting or related campus recruiting, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. $146,000/year!
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the hiring partner and Recruiting Committee to formulate and implement effective recruiting strategies at target and regional law schools.Provide leadership and supervision to the recruiting coordinator, recruiting assistant, and support staff indirectly.Enhance the firm's visibility at target law schools through strategic initiatives.Cultivate and maintain relationships with law school career services and search firms.Oversee the interview process, candidate communications, and database management for student and lateral recruiting.Manage the Washington, D.C. law school on-campus interview process (OCI), including strategy, registration, callback, and offer/follow-up processes.Supervise the Washington, D.C. summer associate program, including social events, trainings, assignments, and evaluations.Collaborate with recruiters across all offices to ensure firmwide consistency and share resourceful and creative programming.Work with practice group leadership to identify and address lateral associate hiring needs.Manage the offer and onboarding process for non-partner lateral hires in the Washington, D.C. office.Analyze recruiting trends and implement strategies to directly source lateral associates.Collaborate on strategic projects with the Director of Attorney Recruiting and Senior Director of Associate Talent.Ensure compliance with the firm's hiring policies and AAP guidelines.Establish and maintain the recruiting department budget.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of law firm recruiting or related campus recruiting experience.Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of campus/student recruiting programs.Exceptional customer service skills for internal and external clients.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.Discretion in handling confidential information.Detail-oriented work style with effective prioritization skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.Flexibility to travel occasionally outside of the DC area and work additional hours as needed.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Experience with ViRecruit and Symplicity preferred but not required.
