Candidates must be licensed to practice in California and must either be licensed in or be willing and eligible to waive into or sit for the Washington State or Oregon State Bar. The title of the position will depend on experience and qualifications.Job ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of litigation (including class, collective and PAGA actions), evaluating claims, handling mediation, taking depositions, engaging in motion practice, and preparing for and taking cases to arbitration and trial. Litigation may also involve administrative charge work, including preparing position statements. Depending on experience, the position may also be responsible for working with senior attorneys to counsel HR professionals and business executives on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and providing strategic thinking in avoiding and resolving employment disputes.QUALIFICATIONSActive California State Bar membership.Active Washington State or Oregon State Bar membership, or the ability to waive into or sit for the Washington State or Oregon State Bar.5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave interference, and wage and hour claims (preferably representing management).Substantial experience handling wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actions.Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state or local agencies.Experience drafting employment policies (preferred).Experience counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (preferred).Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.Ability to efficiently and successfully handle a variety of matters simultaneously to meet client demands.Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking.Requested Application Materials:
