Role And Responsibilities

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified Manager, Logistics cost and analytics professional.

This position prepares and performs month-end closing from a managerial standpoint using SAP Controlling module in LPS division. In addition, this role needs to provide forecast and analyze trends in sales, logistics expense in CE products and support strategic decision-making throughout the organization to increase cost efficiency in overall logistics operation based on analysis and cost modeling.

ResponsibilitiesThis position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze and consolidate financial results for reporting to high-level management.Should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgment and versatility in decision-making and problem-solving.Manage KPI, Incentives, and improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends.Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Expand Business Operation directed by Management like determining cost of operations by establishing standard costs.Prepare financial related analysis and research in areas such as financial and cost-saving performance measures.Participate in annual budget process and cost-saving activities in collaboration with each unit part team.Provide important business information. Issue Risk Management and support ad-hoc reports as directed by management.Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques.Support creation of materials for various management reviews and meetings.

Skills And QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance/accounting or related with 6+ years of relevant experience OR 10+ years of relevant experience.Strong understanding of financial statements and analytical skills.Bilingual in Korean required (Read, Write, Speak).The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities (deadline-driven).Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and excellent communication and presentation skills.
