Minimum Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolMust be a member in good standing of the state barA minimum of 2 years of experience in employment and labor law practice, with a focus on wage and hour, labor and employmentStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulationsExcellent negotiation, research, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and meet deadlinesHigh degree of professional ethics and integrityStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentProficiency with legal research softwareResponsibilities

Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of employment and labor law issues, such as wage and hour disputes, labor negotiations, and employment regulationsRepresent the organization before various administrative agencies, arbitration panels, and court proceedingsDevelop and implement employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor lawsConduct legal research and analysis on various employment and labor law issuesReview, draft, and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contractsProvide training and guidance to human resources and management on employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, disability and leave laws, terminations, and layoffsAssist with internal investigations involving employment and labor law issuesManage outside counsel in employment litigation mattersSalary: $130,000 - $200,000 per year
