Summary:

The Senior Accountant will have responsibility for various procedures related to the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.Salary:

Range is $85,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.Location:

Carlsbad, CA - Hybrid work possiblePrimary Responsibilities:

Analyze and prepare monthly account reconciliations for moderate to complex accounts.Prepare and process journal entries, including appropriate documentation, for an accelerated close.Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures.Review and prepare variance analyses for responsible accounts.Assist the VP Finance, Controller with Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts.Manage lease software, LeaseQuery.Oversee Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) and iProjects.Responsible for all filings in Avalara (tax software) and inquiries related to sales, use, property, and business tax, as well as support the Corporate Tax team.Prepare and work with other accounting team members on monthly, quarterly, yearly schedules for external audit and parent company external reporting requirements.Assist in financial reviews and audits.Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.CPA and Public accounting experience is a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical accounting skills.Highly detail-oriented and organized.Must possess excellent computer skills, Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, Access/SQL), NetSuite experience preferred.Prior experience leveraging technology to achieve complex consolidations.Strong hands-on experience in complex financial modeling, problem solving, analysis, and planning.Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to analyze the overall business impact.Strong written communication and verbal skills and strong attention to detail.Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, goals, and objectives.Ability to communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors effectively & professionally.Physical Requirements:
