SUMMARYPerform a variety of financial activities including processing, recording, general ledger accounting, and accounts reconciliation. Primary responsibilities will be processing all accounts receivable and inventory functions. The Accounting Specialist should be committed to providing efficient and reliable support to accounting department team members and other departments.

RESPONSIBILITIESReconcile inventory with 3rd party facilitiesAdjust inventory as needed for disposal, cycle counts, scrapProcess inventory receipts and returnsProcess inventory transfers for products moving to 3rd party facilitiesAnalyze inventory fluctuations and identify cost discrepanciesProcess deposits for all incoming payments i.e., checks, wireProcess payment requests to customers for Co-op, advertisement expense, and other related expenses issued from customersProvide backup support for sales order processing when neededAssist in financial analysis and reconciliationsParticipate in the monthly financial closing processAssist with the year-end financial auditAssist with Annual Physical InventoryFiling and record-keeping tasksComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as requiredREQUIREMENTSAssociate’s degree or relevant certification3-4 years experience in AP, AR, Inventory, and accounts reconciliationProficient in Microsoft software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze dataExperience and proficiency in relevant accounting software (NAV software preferred but not required)Strong follow-up skillsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reportsSelf-directed and people-oriented skills required; ability to function both individually and within a team structureProvide timely and relevant information for decision-making purposesAbility to liaise well with individuals at all levels of the organization both internally and externallyGeneral understanding of accounting principles, business concepts, and operations as it relates to the job functionsAbility to meet set deadlinesAttention to detail and accuracy, analysis, and problem-solvingAbility to maintain confidentiality and discretionFlexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
