The HR Manager’s responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process (ensure the company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees within the allocated budget), shaping the employer’s branding strategy, and designing company processes and policies in close coordination with the rest of the HR team.
Furthermore, the HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local HR legal practices, evaluating employee programs, recommending improvements to employee relations policies, and ensuring that all employee-related policies align with the company’s goals and established labor regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, including payroll systems and HRIS. You will be the sole HR practitioner based at the office close to Pleasant Hill, California. Twice a year, you will be required to travel to one of the company’s offices in Europe.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Solid understanding of labor legislationBSc degree in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology; MSc degree in HR or relevant certification is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices, and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a compliant manner with relevant employment lawPeople Management Skills and experienceHigh-level knowledge of immigration legislation is a plusExcellent communicator – able to communicate at all levels and adopt a flexible & consultative approachExtensive knowledge of labor legislation, particularly California labor lawCompensation and benefitPeople StrategyCommercial acumen and understandingProject ManagementOrganizational agility and awareness
