Take ownership of a client's case - financials, appraisals, discovery, motions, depositions, mediation, pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials.Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies.Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their work.The Essentials
Contribute to developing the strategy of a case and know where to find the rules of procedure and case law to back up that strategy.Know how to navigate the courtroom and project confidence and competence on behalf of clients.Ability to read financial statements, understand equitable distribution, and help put together a parenting plan.Help clients evaluate whether to spend money on disputes that may not be worth it.View case files as opportunities to help someone build a new life.Personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are extremely important considerations.Individuals who are high-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important will not succeed in our firm.Willingness to wear many hats and perform various tasks, including document scanning.Job Type:
