We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Irvine office is looking for a Landlord Tenant Attorney to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be working closely with our clients (large statewide property management companies) to provide legal advice addressing tenancy issues, assessing the viability of evictions, reviewing client records and procedures to advise and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

ResponsibilitiesReview documents and guide clients through the eviction processProvide legal advice through phone consultations, emails, and video conferencesDraft legal correspondence, including letters and noticesLitigate unlawful detainer trials in Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino courtsDraft pre-trial motions and pleadingsComplete project-based work and additional duties as needed to support the practice group

QualificationsJ.D. and an active California Bar license2+ years of civil litigation experienceGeneral knowledge of civil litigation and landlord-tenant lawStrong organizational skillsStrong written and oral communication skills

The Following Qualifications Are PreferredJury trial experienceExperience in the rental housing industryAffordable housing experienceLexis/Westlaw experienceProLaw experience

SchedulePosition is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.This position is temporarily approved to be performed semi-remotely in accordance with our COVID-19 remote work policy. Training will be completed in the office and then the successful hire may be permitted to work remotely a few days each week. It is anticipated that this position will eventually be performed exclusively from the office.
