The Environment Health and Safety Specialist (EHS) 3 provides expertise in the development, implementation and management of effective Safety, Health and Environment programs/systems.JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with the development, documentation, improvement, and audit of site environmental, health and safety systems.Determine plant environmental, safety, and health requirements.Provide expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental programs/procedures.Perform audits and safety inspections of work environments.Ensure all applicable registrations, permits, and licenses are current.Lead activities in support of Kaizen, Safety Star Point Teams, and Emergency Response Teams.Participate in developing and implementing training programs for employees.Gather data for identifying, reducing, or eliminating sources of pollutants and/or hazards.Ensure communication of best practices, incidents, and near misses.Assist with regulatory-required environmental reporting.Knowledge of industry safety, OSHA, EPA, and environmental system standards.Effectively communicate environmental, health, and safety concepts.Other responsibilities as assigned:Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.Travel up to 20%.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Education:

Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED

(preferred in Environmental, Health, and Safety)Years of experience: minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.Required Skills:Professionally recognized safety or environmental certification.RCRA Hazardous Waste Management training.DOT training.40 hour initial and 8-hour refresher training in accordance with HAZWOPER.ISO 14001 experience.Knowledge of EHS-related software.Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.WORK AUTHORIZATION:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" is required.COMPENSATION:
