$114,300.00 - $148,300.00JOB OVERVIEW:

The focus of this role is to maximize Blue Diamond’s return across the Foundational product portfolio consisting of commodity and competitive core manufactured ingredients to key international markets.Under the direction of the Sales Director, this position will provide support and be responsible for managing customer relationships to effectively execute sales in designated regions. This role will work closely with the Foundational sales colleagues to drive incremental margin through efficiencies and profitable positioning. This position will provide the knowledge, skills and experience needed for those aspiring to pursue a career path in Sales.To be successful in this role, one will need to demonstrate strong business acumen, negotiation and communication skills, customer savvy, organizational and analytical agility, and collaboration with cross-functional partners and alignment with Blue Diamond’s values to maximize success across this business segment.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Job Functions

Work alongside Foundational sales colleagues to develop an annual customer sales plan for assigned regions consistent with the goals and objectives of the enterprise.Support Foundational sales colleagues and carry out assigned duties.Ensure progress is on track to performance metrics for customers/regions in this segment and understand the impact on overall GIM/commodity performance.Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of industry supply and demand drivers, market dynamics, and competitive set, to position pricing/value with customers.Develop an informed market opinion with the ability to communicate market events and trends effectively.Provide sound reasoning to defend decisions taken.Develop relationships with key decision makers with the customer, understand and correlate customer needs and value especially when negotiating price.Assist or Support negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery within company guidelines to maximize sales margins and long-term profitability. Review opportunities with Foundational sales colleagues to ensure best sales margin result while working through customer objections/counteroffers.Provide detailed and accurate monthly forecasting to planning team to ensure peak reliability.Participate in customer meetings and visits. Develop an understanding of what makes for a good meeting as well as the ability to identify opportunities that benefit the business.Highly motivated, self-starter.Represents BDG at trade shows as required.Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel.Leverage Foundational Sales colleagues to achieve personal and team-related revenue goals.Assist in identifying opportunities to increase margin.Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.5 years of sales experience.Ability to communicate effectively with diverse and possibly international customers and brokers and traders.Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Ability to influence others in sales transactions and negotiations.Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment to ensure optimal sales results.Preferred Skills And Experiences

Merchandising/commodity trading experience.Experience using CRM software & Formalized Sales Process.Professional business acumen.Analytically minded with an eye for process improvement.Clear written and oral communication skills, ability to effectively articulate complex issues across all levels of the organization.Ability to engage stakeholders, build trust and collaborate cross-functionally.Bilingual.Supervisory Responsibilities
