SummaryJob Description:The Director of Sales Training will be responsible for directing the design, development, implementation, measurement, and maintenance of sales training programs that effectively support the development needs of Ormco’s NA sales team. Training content includes orthodontic product and industry knowledge, digital workflows and software for orthodontic procedures, sales methodologies, and selling skills. This role will work closely with NA Commercial leadership to assess training needs of the commercial teams and collaborate with the Sales Training team to project manage the execution. Work is performed under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Clinical Education.Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic management, development, and execution of Ormco’s commercial training and education efforts.Determine education priorities and programs based on key strategic imperatives, product launches, and educational needs.Provide leadership and vision on the design, planning, and implementation of robust education curriculum and certification process to onboard Ormco’s sales and commercial team.Build a team of training and education professionals; manage, develop, coach, and support the team to execute on commercial training priorities.Establish procedures and guidelines for assessing the quality of training and make changes if standards are not met or skill or knowledge gaps are identified.Gather feedback from commercial field team members to guide educational content.Direct ongoing sales force training requirements and objectives for the NA sales teams.Own overall training plan, identification of training deliverables, and training methodology for each deliverable.Continuously analyze NA sales team performance to evaluate effectiveness of training and design follow-up programs as needed.Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop training materials based on needs analysis of current and future state business process and procedures.Work with Commercial Leadership team to direct the creation of training programs for NA regional and national sales meetings.Work with the Commercial Leadership team to establish and implement a Sales Process and messaging playbook that provides a foundation for coaching and development.Job RequirementsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, science, or education; or 8+ years of sales training experience in lieu of education.6+ years of relevant dental/medical/healthcare experience including: a combination of experience in management/leading a team, field sales, and sales training.Travel: Up to 20% - must be able to travel domestically which includes overnight stays.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree in Curriculum/Instructional Design/Learning Technologies or related.Experience: Orthodontic and/or dental experience is beneficial but not required. Experience with sales skills methodologies.Experience building sales training content, product modules and facilitator materials.Vendor management experience.Minimum 3+ years of LMS administration working directly with instructional design and marketing in a corporate environment.Proven working experience in adult learning, instructional design and with training technology.Demonstrated experience incorporating adult learning theory, practices, and methodologies into the creation of training materials used in a business setting.Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.Experience working with Docebo, Litmos, Blackboard, Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc. and understanding of Adult Learning Principles and needs assessments.Experience using authoring programs such as Storyline, Brainshark, Camtasia, Photoshop, etc.Comfortable with digital presence on camera and video recording.Experience using CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics preferred, Salesforce okay).Target Market Salary RangeActual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.
