Teachers offers a variety of exciting career opportunities ranging from part-time and full-time staffers to executive leadership roles.SummaryThe Associate Information Security Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of cybersecurity technical controls to protect Teachers’ network and systems against cyber-attacks and data breaches. This role is responsible for assisting in the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of Teachers information security systems, including network security devices, e-mail security appliances, security monitoring and endpoint protection.Education And ExperienceAssociate’s degree in related field or four years’ directly related experience required, Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferredMinimum five to seven years IT experience in a hands-on IT support/administration capacityCompTIA Security+ or higher ISC2 equivalent certification requiredCompTIA Network+ or Cisco equivalent certification requiredExperience with Fortinet firewalls and associated Fortinet product suite preferredGoogle Workspace administration experience preferredExposure to cloud computing technologies (AWS/Azure) preferredJob ResponsibilitiesAssist with security projects and initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance with approved policies and regulatory requirementsAssist in the architecture, implementation, management and enhancement of technical security capabilities including vulnerability management, IPS/IDS, Network Segmentation, IAM, SIEM, etc.Analyze internal and external threats/vulnerabilities and coordinate appropriate remediation effortsMonitor IDS alerts, suspicious emails, network logs, and system audit logs for anomalous activities and assist in triagingProvide security incident response supportTriage security tickets according to priority levelsPrepare and maintain up to date documentation details, including standard operating procedures, of deployed technical solutionsPerform other duties as needed upon request from immediate supervisorEssential SkillsStrong understanding of key information security concepts and fundamentalsStrong understanding of secure network design and system hardeningStrong understanding of network and host-based security technologiesStrong understanding of cloud-based architecture and modelsBenefits Of Joining The Teachers TeamWe provide a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:Paid time off for vacation, personal days, and holidaysFully-funded pension plan401k company contributionTeachers pays 100% of Dental & Vision premiumTuition reimbursement is offered to full-time employeesExclusive employee discount of 0.96% APR on credit card loans and a 1.00% APR on all other loans through TeachersFlexible hybrid schedule for eligible positionsTo learn more about Teachers and to view a full list of our job opportunities please visit
