This role ensures timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintains accurate records and control documentation, reconciles reviews, and ensures accounting compliance. This person will manage accounting staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and is responsible for the timely and accurate financial statement preparation for their assigned accounts. This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting.What You'll Do:Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable - overseeing invoicing, including 1099-year end payments and other accounts payable related matters.Manage Vendor Relations, including new vendor onboarding and account maintenance.Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and application of vendor payments.Assist in annual audits and maintain compliance on state and federal levels.Manage monthly closing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expenses, including identifying month end accruals and posting of journal entries to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.Ensure financial statements are recorded in compliance with revenue recognition guidance.Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Assist in the management and maintenance of a system of internal controls with detailed and targeted documentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual processes.Provide accounting support to operations.Act as a liaison between the company and third-party examiners (external accountants, auditors, etc.) to meet reporting needs.What You'll Bring:Degree in Accounting/Finance or related degree or relevant work experience.5+ years of accounting experience.Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work with various levels of management and influence others without formal authority.Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional skepticism.Experience and skill in working in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.Nice to Haves (Preferred):Insurance experience.Experience working in Sage Intacct.CPA.Interview Process:We want you at your best, and won't be giving you any gotcha-style questions.
