Monitors patients EKG and invasive hemodynamic pressures during cardiac and general surgical procedures. Performs cardiac outputs, special invasive pressures, as well as various clinical pathological tests, such as blood gas analysis, electrolytes, blood clotting times, etc. Is proficient in the performance of intra-aortic balloon pumping, and intraoperative autologous transfusion. Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment specific to the department. Provides didactic and clerical training to employees and CVT students. Utilizes the Gravitational platelet system.Qualifications:College degree in a science related field or graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program required.BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Natural Science, TS - Trade School Graduate: Cardiovascular Technology Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI Cardiac Rehabilitation, LaboratorySkills:
