Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted.Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Other/National Required.Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - North Carolina Preferred.Qualifications:TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Tech in Surgery TS-C - Certification - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) - Certification - ICCAC Operating Room.Skills:Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Service Orientation, Speaking.Sentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
