The Director of Sales helps to lead a regional sales team by developing and implementing sales plans to increase the number of new patients referred to the practice, thereby driving increased revenue. The Director of Sales is directly responsible for the management and growth of their team members and their associated markets. This is accomplished by ensuring accountability of KPI’s, internal coordination of efforts and resources, and maximizing the exposure and visibility of our practice within the healthcare profession and the communities we serve.
Essential Functions
Design and implement strategic sales plans to hit established targetsCultivate effective relationships with operational leadership to ensure alignment and collaborationHold regular calls with team to provide professional development, establishment of best practices, and accountabilityStrategize and construct action plans for underperforming clinics with physician liaisons to improve trends and performanceProvide weekly scorecard to VP of Sales & Marketing and ops leadership including team KPI’s and targeted action plansMeet regularly with direct reports to discuss progress towards goals, initiatives, expectations and professional developmentField shadowing of team members to ensure effective sales tactics and behaviorsParticipate in the planning and execution of regular National Sales SummitsResponsible for the hiring, interviewing, onboarding and training of physician liaisons based on the needs of the regionDevelop sales training content for other departments including Sports Medicine, Operations and AdminObserve local and national trends in their markets (Dallas, TX, CA, WA and OR)MUST HAVES
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding organizational and time management skillsProven ability to drive the sales process from start to finishExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsProven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of our services and productsUnderstanding how to position products against competitorsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize daily workloadCreative thinker and proactive problem solverRequired Credentials
7-10 years sales experience; relevant experience in leadership or management preferredRelevant degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Health Sciences field ideal
