Job Description

This position is responsible for developing, managing and supporting sustained and profitable growth in sales of Brandt manufactured Heavy Haul and Utility Trailers. The US Trailer Sales Director will be responsible to maximize the sales, market share, and profitability in the US working with Brandt Territory Managers, Sales Specialist and Product Support teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWill be responsible for leading the Brandt Sales Strategy, dealer development, dealer recruitment for Brandt's Heavy Haul and Utility Trailer ProductsEnsure all Dealers can handle and give great product support to Brandt's Trailer product line product lineParticipate with US Sales Director and US Territory Manager in development and implementing plans for growing Brandt sales with dealers.Aid the sales team in achieving Brandt's product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledgeCoordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales and dealer sales teams as scheduled.Help US Director of Sales create a successful US product launch of the Utility Trailer lineup and create a dealer growth strategy for the next 5 years.Support Brandt Sales leadership team drive trailer sales in coordination with Brandt Agricultural Sales team through Brandt's established agricultural dealer networkSupport Brandt Sales leadership team drive trailer sales through Brandt's construction products through Brandt's established construction products primarily US John Deere Construction dealersResearch and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure Brandt's pricing, programs and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.Identify attachment product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals as per BES' business objectives for various product categories.Assist product line asset management goals on turns and aging as well as protection of company assets.Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as requiredExtensive travel throughout the US network sometimes alongside Brandt's sales teams to actively support direct visits with dealer contacts and their customers (up to 3 weeks in a month)Establish a personal relationship with DealersEnsure Dealers are educated on all aspects of Brandt Sales, Service and FinanceAssist Dealers with all sales and marketing opportunities which could include advertising, demonstrations, field days, open hoursProvide input into Sales Program DevelopmentProvide input into Product DevelopmentAssist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows in their territoryOther duties as assigned.Required Skills

Must have a strong working knowledge of Heavy Haul Trailers as well as Utility Trailers.Minimum of 5-10 years of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in Trailer Sales with manufacturers and/or dealersStrong organizational and customer service skills are a must.Knowledge and relationships with US Trailer dealers would also be an asset.Ability to coach and develop Brandt Sales Team membersCapable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.Aggressive team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.A recent drivers abstract will be required.Must be able to obtain or possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally primarily to Canada where Brand's headquarters and factories are locatedRequired Experience

Experience managing and mentoring a team of direct reportsDegree or diploma with business focus considered an asset, but not requiredMinimum of 10 years' experience in a related industry, with a minimum of 5 years in management or operationsExtensive AOR travel is required, and international travel may also be requiredPossess and maintain a valid passport and drivers license
