Job Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Territory Manager for our Trailer Products for the Western US territory. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting sustained and profitable growth Brandt's Heavy Haul Trailers and Utility trailer product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible to maximize the sales, market share, and profitability in the given geographical area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFirst line of contact for the DealerStrong Dealer Development skills required to open up new markets where Brandt needs representationEnsure all Dealers can handle the Brandt Trailer product line selling both Heavy Haul Trailers and Utility Trailers or if the dealer is a good fit for either Heavy Haul only or UtilityTM will require strong dealer development skills to judge each market and to setup Heavy Haul Trailer only dealers in the same market as a separate Brandt dealer that only carries utility trailers that is the best fit for not only Brandt but also the dealerParticipate with US Sales Director and Trailer Sales Director in development and implementing plans for growing Brandt sales with dealers.Aid the Dealer sales team in achieving Brandt's product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledge.Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for dealer sales teams as scheduled.Conduct new dealer onboarding training for new dealers as well as Product training both for dealer and end user customers of both Heavy Haul and Utility Trailers.Research and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure Brandt's pricing, programs and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.Identify trailer product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals as per Trailer business objectives for various product categories.Assist product line asset management goals on turns and aging as well as protection of company assets.Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as requiredExtensive travel throughout the territory visiting existing Brandt Trailer dealers, prospecting new trailer dealers Trailer dealer contacts and their customers (up to 3 weeks in a month)Establish a personal relationship with DealersEnsure Dealers are educated on all aspects of Brandt Sales, Service and FinanceAssist Dealers with all sales and marketing opportunities which could include advertising, demonstrations, field days, open hoursProvide input into Sales Program DevelopmentProvide input into Product DevelopmentAssist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows in their territoryOther duties as assigned.Required Skills

Must have a strong working knowledge of Trailers.Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in Heavy Haul and/or Utility Trailers working with manufacturers and/or dealersStrong organizational and customer service skills are a must.Knowledge of US Trailer dealers would also be an asset.Capable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.Aggressive team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.Must be able to obtain a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.A recent drivers abstract will be required.Must be able to obtain or possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally
