Brackenridge Park Conservancy seeks an accomplished senior leader who demonstrates a keen understanding of, and passion for, the organization’s unique mission and an appreciation for the value of Brackenridge Park as a cherished gathering place with deep historical, cultural, and ecological resources. This person must be ready to join with staff and Board to assist the Conservancy in pursuing its strategic goals through knowledge of and experience with principles, practices and methods of strategic engagement, fundraising, planning, operations, financial management, business process improvement and developing and managing human capital in a growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading strategic and high-level decision-making, particularly in times of organizational growth and expansion of impact and managing several projects simultaneously. The candidate will be adept at using keen interpersonal skills to coalesce multiple external stakeholders around common goals. They must embody the highest ethical standards and demonstrate a balance of business savvy with a commitment to responsible, people-focused management. A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly professional relationships with government, business, civic, and nonprofit leaders is required.

Experience working directly with elected and appointed officials and representatives, and successfully navigating complex processes and discussions to advance key initiatives and activities is paramount. The candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain strong and growing relationships with benefactors, potential donors, and other key sources of financial support in the foundation, business, government and civic sectors. Experience with significant fundraising activities is required, particularly working with national foundations, institutional funders, including private, family and community foundations, as is experience working closely with local and state government officials and policymakers.

This individual must be confident, thoughtful, and have the appropriate skills and presence to work in an effective, collegial, and collaborative manner. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required.

The compensation range for this position annually is between $170,000 – $200,000. Health, retirement, PTO and other benefits are available.
