Position Overview:

The Pedi CVOR RN Supervisor provides leadership for service staff ensuring the quality and integrity of care delivered. Develops plan of care for service based upon RN assessment/re-assessment and is responsible for fiscal and human resource allocation based upon guidelines. This position supports the Pediatric Congenital Cardiac service line and requires someone with experiential depth in pediatric congenital heart.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the service staff, ensuring quality care.

Develop and implement care plans based on assessments.

Collaborate with Sterile Processing, Perfusion, Inpatient Congenital Heart nursing team, and other departments.

Maintain a positive, patient-centered approach and commitment to safety and quality improvement.

Foster cohesive team dynamics and effective communication with surgical and anesthesia partners.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

A bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Pediatric nursing - REQUIRED.

Supervisory/Management experience - REQUIRED.

CVOR experience - REQUIRED.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.

Current American Heart Association BLS provider.

CNOR within 6 months.

ACLS and/or PALS within 6 months.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Expertise in the specific specialty with leadership/management skills.

Working knowledge of overall OR service.

Competency in pre-operative practice.
